Contracting for Think Tank allowed me to work out-of-office, with the exception of occasionally meeting clients to develop a holistic design strategy. Some of the larger projects I had the opportunity to work on involved the creation of a corporate logo, a website for a well-established modeling agency and designing/illustrating a book that was published nationwide for a retired NFL player.
As a graphic designer for Leverage Digital, my job was primarily creating web and print based design using the Adobe Creative Suite. Working for this agency was a great learning experience, and I was challenged to persistently incorporate the latest trends in design into my approach. It was my responsibility to see projects from start to finish and stick to strict and timely deadlines. Researching and following popular trends allowed me to excel in design by pushing myself to create innovative UX/UI design that served the purpose of being both functional and aesthetically appealing.
From setting up events and seminars to designing print collateral, this position gave me a great deal of creative freedom. Along with client correspondence, my role included keeping social media and relevant content up to date, as well as designing and sending out monthly newsletters. By utilizing tools such as Google Analytics I learned the importance of targeting an audience, allowing me to better direct the marketing department and provide helpful insight for future messaging.
As a graphic design intern for Gates in Denver, Colorado, I assisted the marketing department on some very challenging projects and held a great deal of responsibility. The projects ranged from designing ads and marketing material for the automotive and engineering departments, to assisting the BD team integrate a new brand identity to the website and a wide array of print collateral. Being given projects that ranged far beyond my skill level, I was challenged to teach myself by doing a great deal of research first. I truly enjoyed my time as an intern and was given an excellent letter of recommendation.
Sarah was a valuable asset to our creative team as she is enthusiastic, dependable and hard-working and fostered positive relationships with her colleagues and clients.
